I’m so excited to share the engagement session I did with Safia + Rocky! They wanted to change it up a little bit and do something in the city, which was a really cool for me! I normally do my sessions outside at the beach, or in trees, so it was fun getting to spend some time in the city I love most! They picked Maiden Lane, because they loved the cute little alley way and the string lights! Adorable. I can’t wait for their wedding at the end of the month! I can’t believe it’s almost here! Their wedding will be the first two day wedding I get to photograph, and it’s going to be filled with lots of cultural traditions I can’t wait to see! It’s so fun to photograph weddings from different cultures because they’re so different from the traditional American wedding – especially the outfits. Can’t wait for what’s in store for Safia + Rocky’s wedding!!
Safia + Rocky met and dated in high school ten years ago! They decided not to be together after a while so they should concentrate on themselves and get back together later in the future. Eight years later, they decided to hang out and catch up on life. After hanging out, those feelings they had back in high school began to reappear, and stronger ones grew. Rocky proposed, and the rest is history!
I loved all of the well thought out details that went into their outfits! It’s fun when my couples go all out for their sessions, because the pictures come out that much better. Their casual outfits were to die for as well. All the way down to the pineapple socks. (:
I had so much fun working with them, and can’t wait for their wedding! Their venue, Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina wrote a blog on them as well, so go check that out and show them some love too! See it here: http://www.thelighthousegcm.com/blog/2017/10/3/couples-spotlight-safia-raqib
